TP-Link TL-MR3420 Configurations with Evo/Nitro



You will find 5 Ethernet ports behind the Tp-Link TL-MR3420 router.For TP-Link TL-MR3420 Configurations, you must connect your PC/laptop’s ethernet cable to any of the Yellow ports of Tp-Link TL-MR3420. Your system will automatically obtain an IP address as it has the DHCP Server enabled by default. If you donot get an IP, you must set a manual Ip in order to access its Web Config console. The default IP to access its web config console is 192.168.0.1 and Username/Password is admin / admin,  you can also see the login details at back label of Tp-Link TL-MR3420.
Open web browser and enter 192.168.0.1 and Log in...

Enter the username and password which is “admin” by default. Click on Quick setup, you will see the four options to configure the internet access. Here Select "3G Only" and click "Next"

Now enter your 3G modems details, Here we have an EVO connection and it is powered by PTCL so PTCL is not listed in the ISP list, so i will enter the credentials manually.
Select any country and any ISP from the list (it will not effect on your connection) then Check “Set the Dial Number and APN manually” Set authentication type to Auto, Enter Dial Number “#777″. Leave the APN field Blank.
Enter Username : vwireless@ptcl.com , Password: ptcl (Username and password is case sensitive)
Click Next.


Now select Wireless Radio "Enable" and Wireless Network Name (any name), and select country (any Country can be selected), under Wireless Security, chose "WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK" and then chose password for your WiFi network and click "Next"

Congratulations ..! you have successfully configure your router to use with PTCL EVO...
